Swiss Family Robinson Package Project
We were tasked with developing one moving part that causes a stationary part to react when they collide. With our limited materials, we decided to use the movie Swiss Family Robinson as our inspiration and created a boat (with moving waves on the wheels) that crashes into an island. The crash causes reactions on the island, including the treehouse releasing a ball, two pirates popping up, and a net dropping down.
In Action
In the video, you can see the boat get released to charge towards the island with moving waves on the wheels. Once it hits the island, it releases a “booby trap” from the treehouse, two pirates pop up, and one of them is captured with a net.
